Mechanical Project Engineer
The Mechanical Project Engineer will develop engineering designs, specifications, cost estimates, technical specifications, and material specifications for high quality, state of the art CNC precision machine tools and related equipment for the railroad industry. This position is responsible for the related design analysis, detailed documentation and coordination with operations personnel to produce the finished products.
Electrical and/or Mechanical Assembly
Personnel in the Electrical and/or Mechanical Assembly positions are direct labor personnel who are highly skilled and involved in machine and part builds. Assemblers can take a machine from cradle to grave and work in almost any phase of the process from design hand off to release to the customer.
As a Controls Engineer, you will work as part of a team to create and implement control systems for major machine tools, including computer controlled (CNC) machine tools, measuring systems, automation, robots, and SCADA systems, with an emphasis on software development. In addition to working as part of a team, you will be given the responsibility to complete many projects independently.
Support Track: Material Coordinator - Shipping/Receiving
Personnel in the Support Track Function are skilled indirect labor personnel that foster higher productivity and efficiency in the manufacturing environment by insuring needs are met and materials/tools/labor are organized and available as production demands.
Technical Procurement Specialist
Simmons Machine Tool Corporation is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the full time position of Technical Procurement Specialist. The Technical Procurement Specialist (TPS) will be responsible, as assigned by the Procurement Manager, for purchased materials and services relating to production parts used in the company's product line. The TPS will work closely with other Procurement/Purchasing department personnel as well as with Production Planning, Finance, Inventory Control, Manufacturing Operations, and Engineering. This position reports directly to the Procurement Manager.
Specialist Track - Mechanical Assembly
The Mechanic is responsible for performing a variety of mechanical assembly functions independently under general supervision. Personnel in the Specialist Track are direct labor personnel who are highly skilled in a specific trade who may also have limited skills in other trades and add value inside the manufacturing environment. This is a non-exempt hourly position in the Manufacturing Department. Candidates may be asked to work any shift, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as defined by Company needs.
The Service Technician will perform all activities associated with installing, servicing, and maintaining a wide range of the company’s state of the art CNC precision machine tools and related equipment for the railway industry.
